Transmission Codes
 

My mechanic got the following codes after doing a scan of my 1997 Tiburon: P0712 Transmission Fluid Temperature Sensor Circuit Low Input / P0734 Gear 4 Incorrect ratio. What do these mean, and are they serious problems? I'm very low on money right now, and I've had some shady encounters with transmission mechanics in the past. Just trying to get an idea of where I stand.
