unusual rpms

i have a 2003 Hyundai Tiburon (Tuscani Edition), and it seems very unusual at how high the rpms get at such low speeds. it reaches about 3k at around 45 mph. and on the highway, at 75 mph the rpms are at about 4.5 - 5k. is this normal for tiburons? if not what could be the problem here? any replies are appreciated. thanks

Sounds like your OD is not working, I have a 01 that had the same problem. Your check engine light on? Push the OD button on the shifter on and off when driving 50mph anything happen??

We don't read minds here. You have to tell us what transmission you have. Automatic, 4-speed manual, 6-speed manual? What gear were you in at 45 mph and a 75 mph?

The GK Tiburon (2003-up) does not have an overdrive button.
