Hi I just bought a 2001 trajet, 2,0 manual transmission, was informed a couple of days after the purchase that some [body] had disconnected the airbags to get rid of the warning light and that the airbags were disabled, I was told that the airbag control unit was disconnected. Is that the unit placed in front of the gear shifter, under the carpet ?? because that one is connected. are there other ways of disconnecting the airbags ???, I am planning on reconnecting the airbags and have the original failure repaired, bad sensor, computer or what not, and the seller is paying.
