05 Tucson 2.7 gls 02 sensor
I am looking for the bank 1 sensor 2 location on my Tucson. Also a "How to" on changing it out myself. Any diagrams, instructions and all help is greatly appreciated

This pic should help:
https://www.hyundaitechinfo.com/file.../03360121D.gif Bank 1 is always the side of the engine with cylinder #1. Bank 2 is always the side of the engine with cylinder #2. Bank 1 is the bank of cylinders on the firewall side. Bank 2 is the bank of cylinders on the radiator side. Sensor 1 is the O2 sensor before the cat. Sensor 2 is the O2 sensor after the cat. So the one you want is the sensor AFTER the cat on the FIREWALL side of the engine. |
You rock! Thank you sir! Would you happen to know how to replace it? This is new to me and I really want to learn how to do this myself on this Tucson.

This is sensor 2 in Bank 1 as seen from under the car:
https://www.hyundaitechinfo.com/data...G/egqe550o.gif Basically unplug the connector and unbolt the sensor. Apply anti-seize to the threads of the new sensor without getting any on the sensor itself. Thread in and tighten (29.5 ~36.9 lb-ft). Plug in the connector. I'd advise getting a Hyundai sensor instead of a cheap off-brand one. |

What is the code that lead you to think you need replacement ? Couple of the codes are a program, nothing wrong with sensor, so you be throwing money away replacing sensor.. |
I had a mechanic from work hook up the code reader and thats what he said it was

What is the P-xxxx code.. ?? So you is going to buy a sensor, and it may not be the real problem, when the repair might just be a PCM reprogram ?? I am trying to help you move the right direction.. |
