Default 2005 Tuscon Aftermarket Alarm w/ Dome Light Trigger?

Has anyone put in an aftermarket alarm or remote starter and not used the OEM keyless entry AND been able to get their dome light to stay on when the aftermarket alarm is disarmed? My local stereo shop claims that there isn't the correct wire to do this; there is only a lead off the OEM unit? Designtech-intl.com shows

Dome Supervision yellow - fuse box, rear 10 pin plug, pin 2

but i'm not sure this is what is needed.

Any ideas b/c I know my 06 Sonata had the proper wire b/c they got it working on the sonata

Thanks in advance!

You've got the right info. According to what I'm reading in the tech manual, you should be able to attach the domelight wire from your 3rd party alarm to that connection and should work fine.

Your 3rd party alarm does have the domelight feature?

What brand / model alarm are you using?

Yes the aftermarket alarm/remote starter combo is a Prestige APS-786 and does have dome light capability.
