Default 2005 tuscon question

My wife has a 2005 tuscon. Should it "ding" when she uses the keyless remote to lock or open it? Also, there is no warning sound if the lights are on and the car is off--or if you leave the keys in the ignition.

Is this all normal for this vehicle?

Thanks.

No and Yes. No, it doesn't normally make a sound when you lock or unlock the doors. However, if the push the lock button on the remote a second time about a second or 2 after the first press, it will beep the horn after locking the doors.

The car turns the lights off automatically. Try it. With the doors closed and the engine on turn the lights on. Then turn the engine off and open the drivers door. The lights go off automatcally. They will go back on when you start the car again.

Yes it should. If you open the drives door with the key in the ignition and the engine off, it will beep at you.

I have not tried to see if the lights go off, but none of the other things is working. What do I need to do to fix this? Would this all be on one or two fuses being out?

Thanks again for all of the info.

No ding after clicking the keyless remote after second click.
No ding if you leave the keys in the ignition with the motor off and door open.

Thanks much.

Are you the original owner? Maybe the previous owner "removed" the ding for the key in the ignition. Many people do that.

As for the alarm, you have to wait about a second or 2 between the two presses. If you push the lock button twice very quickly, it won't honk. And if you wait too long between the presses, it won't work.
