2007 Tucson 4cyl transmission fluid change question.

Recently purchased a 07 with 100K miles. 4cyl engine manual transmission. I attempted to do a transmission fluid change by first disconnecting the two rubber hoses that go to the radiator from the two hard lines on top of the transmission. With a helper in the cabin, turn the car on and see which tube pumps the fluid out of the transmission to circulate through the radiator cooler. To my surprise, fluid came out of both tubes! same rate of flow. why is this happening? one should be the flow in and the other the flow out.

Any thoughts?

I also have an 04' Elantra with the exact same engine and tranny. on that one, the fluid only comes out of the left tube. ?

Thanks again,

Did you have a chance to check if the trans vent is not plugged?

I don't know where the vent is located. But isnt the transmission vented with the dip stick removed?
the fluid pump should only push fluid in one direction. Strange.

Thanks again.
