Hello new to forums we have a 2009 hyundai tucson great car but recently the gearbox has started making a clicking/tapping noise in neutral with the clutch out so i checked the oil and was to level and ok looking, removed and dissmantled the gear box to find 5th gear loose on the input shaft the spline that connects the two is so badly worn that you can spin gear half a tooth out. If anyone has had same problem and how to fix as replacement parts are over $1200 would greatly appreciated

 

if automatic you will change it if manual gear it can be from oil .
