2013 Hyundai Tucson - clicking sound

Hello, I am a first time Hyundai owner. Just purchased a 2013 Tucson this weekend from a Hyundai dealer. The heater is making a ticking sound. I know it is the heater because when I turn it off, it goes away. Any idea what this could be?

It is called "Heater blend door actuator motor" or just: "blend door actuator". They have little plastic gears inside and some teeth have fallen out. the part is not very expensive but it can be a chore to get to it.
Since you just bought it see if you can sweet talk the dealer into fixing it for free.

Are you Sure its not the Fan?? Sometimes Dirt gets inside and cause a clicking sound. Or the bearings could be going. Try Changing the Fan Speed and see if it changes?

First off, welcome to the Hyundai family. The Tucson is a nice vehicle. Your issue could be caused by either of the previous suggestions. If the dealer will look at it for free I would definitely take it there, most used cars that new carry some type of warranty. Your vehicle may have even been a certified pre-owned Hyundai. If you cannot get it looked at for free I would still suggest getting the issue diagnosed somewhere, either at the dealer or a trusted shop, before just putting parts in hoping that it fixes the problem.
