Default 2016 Tucson blend door

I have a 2016 Hyundai Tucson that is blowing cold on the driver's side but not the passenger side. I was told to replace the blend door actuator on the passenger side but cannot find it. I took out the glove box and vent but still couldn't locate it. I see one on the driver's side but that's apparently for the mode and not the on that needs to be change. Anyone able to help me locate the passenger side blend door actuator?

Firs we need to know which function you are requesting and which side is malfunctioning.

Not sure what you mean but which function I'm requesting. I have the ac on and driver sides cold and passengers side is warm. I was told the blend door actuator needs to be replaced. When I looked it up it says the one on the driver's side is for changing modes and the passenger side for regulating temp. I can see the drivers side easily but could not find the passenger side one.

Now we know you are requesting cooling .

It should be located where it can blend the incoming air to be either heated or cooled before the blower motor..

The blend door actuator is typically located behind the dashboard, near the HVAC system, and can be challenging to access. Here are a few steps you can take to help locate it:
  1. Consult the vehicle's repair manual: The repair manual for your specific make and model should have detailed diagrams and instructions on the location of components, including the blend door actuator. You can consult the manual to get accurate information on its location.
  2. Online forums and resources: Online forums and resources dedicated to Hyundai Tucson owners can be a valuable source of information. Many car enthusiasts and experienced owners share their knowledge and experiences, including tips on locating specific components. You can search for discussions or guides related to blend door actuator replacement in your Tucson model.
  3. Contact a Hyundai dealership or service center: If you're unable to locate the blend door actuator on your own, reaching out to a Hyundai dealership or service center would be a good next step. They have access to detailed information specific to your vehicle and can provide guidance or even inspect the vehicle themselves.

Default Tucson A/C Air Warmer On the Passenger Side

I was working on my 2017 Tucson today for the same problem. All the information I have found says change the RH blend door actuator. I took apart my dash just like the manual says and there IS NO passenger blend door actuator or wire harness for one. There is the blend door shaft like the driver's side where an actuator attaches and the passenger blend door default position is full cold. I started my car and A/C and moved the passenger blend door by hand and the air turned even warmer so I know the door is in the correct position. The door will only move 1/8 turn (45 degrees). I checked the driver's blend door actuator and door and the two doors physically move the same amount. Only reason I can think there is no passenger blend door actuator, is my car only has one temp controller and if you have two blend door actuators, it may because there are models with driver and passenger independent termp controllers? I assume for my car, the driver's blend door actuator controls the air for both sides. There is an actuator like the driver'd s blend door actuator on. the passenger side located more toward the door and up toward the top of the dash but it is for the front defroster. Verified by removing it and turning on the car air system and the actuator moved 1/8 turn (45 degrees) when i pushed the Front Defrost button.

Hopefully someone reading this can offer some help. Only two causes I can think of are there is a leaking door allowing warm air into the part of the air plenum that blows on the passenger side or there is hot coolant water still flowing through the heater core when the A/C is on and it heats the cool air. Not sure if coolant flow though all the time or not.
