2019 but rusty bits under seat
EU Tucsons are built in Czech Republic so not sure if this affects other countries. 3 week old Tucson and I lift up rear seat cushion to fit seat cover only to find 2 crude bits of bare metal welded to seat frame, and each side is a different piece, one flat contoured, one circular contoured, both starting to rust already. Has anyone else found these under the rear seat cushion ??

Not all new vehicles are stored in nice clean dry garages. Some can be stored out in a field where moisture and humidity go to work. They clean up quite well and most purchasers don't look under the seats. If it is only scanty rust, you might inquire from the dealership where the vehicle came from.

My point on this was that the rest of the seat frame was black enameled, but it was like the seat manufacturer/assembly found something was wrong and just found 2 different pieces of bare metal, bent them to shape.and welded them to the enameled frame as a makeshift fix. If they had been done at seat assembly stage they'd have been enameled before the upholstery was fitted.

You probably could have the dealership look at it, and maybe even show you another seat from a vehicle like yours. If yours is unsatisfactory , compared to the other one, maybe you could work something out , what do you think ?
