Before I service my 2008 Tucson...
Hi all
I've generally been comfortable servicing my own vehicles until I bought my 2008 Tucson crdi in 2014. I've been keeping up with annual servicing at the Hyundai service centre, but the crazy prices they want to charge for simply changing the cabin filter for example, has prompted me to once again start servicing my own vehicle. All that needs doing is checking the fluids and replacing the filters. Is there anything I need to be aware of before replacing the fuel, air and oil filters?
Many thanks in advance
Craig

Don't mess with the throttle plate
On some newer cars, the throttle plate is calibrated
So if you move it while cleaning then it may cause some other issues
Don't touch wires or bundles of wires if you don't have to
Heat in the engine bay can make some wires brittle
Remember to be safe
safety glasses, gloves, .. etc.
