Can I trust 2017's replacement long block (2012 Tucson 2.4L I4)?

Hi all -

I'm new here, researching used cars possibilities for my two late-teen sons.

I am looking at a 2012 Tucson with the 2.4L I4 engine. It is at 102K miles now. At 73K miles (in 2017), it had its long block replaced under warranty, before the 2019 recall (NHTSA #19V063) was announced.

I've read wistful recollections from Sonata and Tucson owners with that engine who didn't qualify for the recall ...

My question is: is this engine block to be trusted to be a redesign (even though its replacement preceded the recall)?

I see no notes in the car service records (which are complete) which note any oil leaks since the replacement.

I'd appreciate any experience, feedback or recommendations out there.

Thank you in advance!
