Smile Engine light flashing on 2006 Diesel

Hi,

I'm new to this forum having recently purchased a 2006 CRTD Limited Tucson but I wonder whether anyone can help... After approx. 3 weeks of owning the TUC the engine failed to start one morning and seemed to 'choke' on every attempt.

The dealership have been top notch with after sales and did all sorts of tests that basically revealed the engine light bulb had been removed??!! They believed a faulty EGR or DPF was the culprit so cleaned both (forced regen on DPF). They replaced the engine light bulb but the light refuses to go out and flashers every second? They agreed to retest the car and presently still have it but my question is this...

Why is the bulb flashing? I did a MOVI Pro engine diagnosis prior to it going in to the garage and error code P2002 came up. It's the usual 'DPF malfunction bank 1' issue but why should this show when they say they've cleaned the EGR/DPF?

Short of having a DPF delete/ECU remap what do people suggest the problem might be? I've not much confidence in the garage despite great after sales/courtesy car as they're not a Hyundai dealership.

Cheers

The light is still on because the problem still exists. Obviously, what was done did not fix the problem. Maybe the DPF Sensor is faulyy. Maybe the DPF Exhaust Pressure pipe/hose has a leak or blockage.
