Default Forgot rubber piece on end of Fuel Pump

2008 Tuscon, I replaced the fuel pump. Awesome! piece of cake!
Looking at old one, there's a rubber hose clamped to the end of it.
Can I live with this, or do I have to pull the new pump out and put the hose on???
Grrr....

Does the engine run without any problems?

Yeah, after pulling the pump back out, I discovered the after market pump is a little different in the white piece, so there was no where to put the hose anyway. Installed a second time, fired right up. Thanks for the reply,
D

Yeah, if you replaced it and buttoned it up then all I would have done is test it
See if it runs without a problem.
If it does then just live with it
But, at least now you are certain
