Yeah probably that, I don't know exactly the technical details, however, I know all they did was to tighten the belt that was something that the other mechanic was not able to do (or want to do I don't know).

 

So all they did was tighten the system? I have an 07 too and started having issues, when I hit any puddles the system pretty much stiffens up and can't turn at all. There is a squeal every time the car starts and the steering is hard for a little bit when it's cold. lots of fluid but one warmed up I have no issues turning but there is a short squeal when I do turn.

 

Tightening the belt did not work for me. This was never resolved on my vehicle. I sold it.
