Need 2011 Hyundai Tucson Repair Advice

My 2011 Hyundai Tucson just hit 100K so little issues are popping up. I joined to try and get some help with some of the issues that I'm unfamiliar with. Hope there's help for me out there!

I already need advice about a climate control issue. Suddenly, the buttons on the climate control unit will not illuminate preventing me from switching back and forth between modes, using the defroster, or changing the temperature. No fuse blown. Will I need an entire unit replacement or is there something else I can try first?

Also, whenever I use the fan on the climate control system, I hear a very high pitched ticking. It's happened since I purchased the vehicle brand new. The dealer didn't hear it so shrugged it off.

Yeah, that's a sealed unit that needs to be replaced as a whole assembly. I had to replace mine once. Found a used one on eBay fairly cheap that worked well.

Thanks for the reply NovaResource. I'm having a bit of trouble removing the unit. I found the two screws at the bottom but can't seem to pop the unit out. Any advice from your replacement?

Never mind. I guess removing and replacing fuses while I was checking for any blown fuses did the trick.

I also found this great article about the fan noise. I'll try it this afternoon; How To Fix Your Squeaking/Screeching GM Blower Motor

And this youtube video for help in removing the blower motor.
