New here..And I have a brake issue

While replacing the rear pads on my 05 Tucson, I snapped the two bolts while taking them off like a dummy. I know I probably have to replace the whole caliper right? Also if I replace 1 rear caliper do I have to replace the other side the same time?

What bolts did you break?

You shouldn't have to replace the whole caliper.

I broke the two guide rod bolts. Also thanks for the diagram breakdown!! That is awesome! Do you have any for taking off the rotors as well?

Youl just have to replace the bolt and the guide rod that it goes in.

To remove the rotor
- remove the two "guide rod bolts" holding the caliper to caliper bracket
- remove the caliper
- remove the two bolts holding the caliper bracket to the spindle
- remove the caliper bracket
- remove the 2 screws holding the rotor to the hub
- remove the rotor

Awesome Thanks alot! I did notice the rotor was missing 1 screw and the other was stripped. I did read in another thread for the Santa fe that those arent really necessary. I appreciate the help, Thank you!

Yeah, most of those screws that hold the rotor on get stripped when trying to remove them. I just drill off the screw head to remove the rotor. And, no, they aren't needed. The wheels lugs hold both the wheel and the rotor against the hub.
