O2 sensors

I own a 2006 Tucson and recently the warning indicator showed that the o2 sensors were not working. They were replaced and then the light came back on. The mechanic then replaced them again thinking they were faulty. I had driven less than 10kms when the light came on again. They have since run diagnostic tests which show that the sensors are working in an acceptable level. The car is using a lot more fuel than it should. The only suggestion they can make is to replace the one that is throwing up a warning....... again which of course will be at my expense. Any ideas or suggestions?? Has this happened to anyone else. Even the mechanics are stumped.

If the sensors are good and the computer detects a problem then maybe the wiring from the sendor to the computer is bad. What OBD-II codes are in the computer causing the light?
