Default P0401 and engine warning light

Hi, my 2006 Tucson has problems again, it allways seems related to the EGR "system" but the vale/solenoid was changed 2000 miles ago, its also been cleaned a number of times, the sensors have been changed and wiring checked over. This time the engine light came on while i was driving but the car drove as normal, I did a scan which showed a P0401 fault, Ive had lots of EGR faults so I cleared it to see what would happen but the light keeps coming back on. 2 days later it went into limp mode and is now sitting on my drive. Most people seem to cure this fault by renewing vaccum hoses or cleaning/changing the EGR, but mine is electronic and I have to assume the EGR is clean and working after such a short period. I've also seen an EGR temperature sensor mentioned but I dont think mine has one.

Ive had the car into 3 places for diagnostics and a home visit from a mobile mechanic but the problems, or problems related to the EGR keep coming back. The car has only done 66,000 miles. Any suggestions ?

It would help if you told us what each one the repair people did. Also if you paid them to fix it , why you aren't getting them back to really fix it?

ok so the first time it went for diagnostics I was told it needed a new EGR so I changed it, the old one was clean inside so I assumed the servo was faulty, it was fine for a couple of weeks then I got the same code back again, P0401, and went into limp mode.

I took it back to the same place and was told the egr sensor had gone so I changed it but the light came back on

I took it to another place and was told the vanes in the turbo were sticking, I think there were 2 fault codes on then, freeing the vanes seemed to work and I ran cleaner through but a couple of months later the light returned

then I got a mobile mechanic out who said it was the egr sensor, (I think it showed an P0405 code) the sensor was new but I changed it anyhow and it was fine for a couple of months

now I have a P0401 code, engine light is on (not flashing) and my car is in limp mode.

I could be wrong here, but it seems , you , from questionable diagnosis, are correcting results and not the cause.

One question that comes to mind is , WHY is there so much problems with carbon? Is your vehicle making just short hops and not getting up to temp, are you using poor quality fuel? This is where I would concentrate my efforts Maybe you could inquire from a shop to look into this.
