Power steering pump question
So, recently I added some power steering fluid to my system, as the steering was beginning to feel stiff. The fluid level was low, so I put in some Lucas Power steering fluid. My Tuscon then proceeded to vomit all the fluid, and any fluid or stop leak I put in thereafter.
I ordered a replacement pump, and went over to a mechanic friend's place. When we opened it up and compared old pump to new pump, the only thing we could see as an issue is that there is a port behind and just tucked in under the pulley, that doesn't appear to ever had a hose attached
When the car is turned on, all the fluid shoots out of this hole. We popped a screw in there, just to block it, and it seems to have solved the whole problem!
So my question is, on a 2006 Tuscon 2.7l v6, is there just a cap on this port? Could someone supply a diagram? Every thing I can find on this shows just 2 hoses, and no indication of anything on the 3rd port.
It's be nice to get this fixed, as my arms are getting real sore.

We are all trying to save a buck these days.
Yes there are some good things to buying on line and in some discount stores.
Ask any tech that has been burned taking a chance with a much lower price and and quality they will be happy to show you the scars.
That is why in most cases, will pay the extra $$ to get the right parts at a dealership when necessary. Techs do not get paid for doing the job over again because they bought the wrong or cheap parts.
Could this be the case here?
