Default Radio - CD Player

This is the audio media that came with my 2009 Tucson:

In the absence of an English Owners Manual any idea where I might obtain an Instruction Manual for the device?

I don't have the model number for the item and thus am unable to do a 'search'.

Thanks,

Jeff Gordon

That's the standard XM radio available here in the states. I'll see what I can find.

Should be discussed as part of the cars owner's manual. Go to:

Many thanks.

The 2009 Owners Manual you pointed me too doesn't have the exact radio but it's as near as dammit to mine; great, just what I was after.

Hyundai America have been truly amazing in my quest for help. I told them about my difficulties in obtaining an Owners Manual in English for my Tucson and they sent me, without ANY cost, a copy of the 2008 Owners Manual. Unfortunately the radio depicted in the 2008 Manual is not the radio depicted in the 2009 manual.

I notice from the 2009 Manual that the vehicle imported into the USA does not have a Coolant Temperature Gauge, like my 2009 Tucson that I recently purchased here in Russia.
Any thoughts about the omission?
It wasn't until I had accepted the car and been driving it for a day that I noticed the lack of a temperature gauge; I was amazed at its omission!

I am rectifying the situation by fitting a ScanGauge2 which is currently in the post to me.

Thanks again for the help in the Radio/CD Player instructions, much appreciated.

Cheers,

Jeff Gordon

American car buyers are a fickle lot. Gauges are not considered essential, but viewed more as a luxury item by most buyers. I, like you, want a temp gauge and ammeter in every car I own. You average U.S. commuter type couldn't give a rip about gauges beyond the speedometer and is perfectly happy to live with idiot lights/buzzers on the dash. I also think it varies by car company and the size or perceived use of the car. Smaller cars tend to have more lights on the dash, larger vehicles (like pickup trucks and SUVs) have more gauges. High-end/performance models (more $) also usually have more gauges. It appears that Hyundai thinks the Tucson is a small, pedestrian SUV (perhaps since it is based on the Elantra platform) that doesn't warrant this attention.
