Question Replacing Rear Brakes on 2016 Tucson

Has anyone had to do this yet? I am working on mine and I have 2 sets of pads both of which do not fit.. I have gone to 2 stores for them and they state they are exact matches. I am really trying to avoid going to the dealer for something so simple, but I am about over this.
HELP!
sorry if this was already posted, I searched and found nothing.
TIA

Can't be sure if this is the problem

It could be due to the production dates.
Sometimes the factory will use old production parts until it runs out
before using the newer parts specified for the vehicle.
Supposedly it saves the company some money

Bring the old pads with you to the auto parts store and compare before paying for them.
You could try asking for the previous year.
Hope it helps

Hyundai is notorious for mid model splits and that sounds like what is happening in your case. If you can post or send me your VIN I would be happy to give you the OE part number.

What is not fitting? The Shape? How thick the Pads are? The rear Pistons need to be Pushed or Turned in. Depending on if the Parking Brake is part of the Caliper. Or separate like on my 15.

Why are you replacing the rear pads?

That's my question. Why are you replacing rear brake pads on a brand new car?

Agreed, unfortunately I have the feeling we may never know.

Is the Parking Brake Setup the same as on the 15 model?? My SE AWD has Parking Shoes and Drum inside the Rotors.

Yes, the Tucson has drum brakes inside the rotor hat as the parking/emergency brake.
