Default SANTA FE 4 WHEEL DRIVE FAULT INDICATOR

Recently purchased a

2004 Santa Fe GLS with 4WD full time, and 2.7 engine. Owners manual

states I should see a 4 wheel drive indicator on the left hand side of
the instrument panel close to the engine fault indicator when I turn
the ignition switch to the on position, which should go out after a
few seconds. If this indicator comes on while driving it would indicate
a problem with the 4WD. I'm getting conflicting advice from Hyundai
sources. Is anybody with a similar configured Santa Fe getting this
indicator? I obviously am not getting it and strongly feel I should be.

There is no indicator in your car, because the AWD indicator is for the 3.5ltr. V6, which has the electronic AWD system.</P>
