Sensor location
I'm trying to decide if I should replace 2 sensors myself. Autozone loans out the right tools to remove them, but I watched a video that uses a short pipe to help break the nuts loose. Obd codes are poo56 ho2s heater control circuit bank 2 sensor 2 and the other is po159 ho2s-22 bank 2 sensor 2 rationality check. I believe both these are behind the cat and I can drive up on my ramps for fairly easy access. It a tucson 2.7 gls. Does anyone know how to determine or have a diagram of there location?
If you live anywhere in the salt belt and the old sensor is more than three years old
Then don't do it yourself or you will end up needing an oxy-acetylene torch
And a huge plumber's wrench to get that sucker out.
Then you'll need a thread chasing tool cause there won't be any threads left
To put the new O2 sensor back in.
I tried to replace the O2 sensor (after the cat)

I live in New England and expect some rust but planned to spray it with penetrating oil and let it soak in a bit. I'll give it a try with the autozone socket set, there are three to choose from. The best one has a slot to slip over the wires and I have a good long racket handle which swivels too. I'll give it a shot and if I can't loosen it with reasonable force I'll just return the part and pay the $300-$400 bucks. Also I'm was thinking both obd II codes are from one sensor. I believe there's only one bank 2 sensor 2? Main question is which side it's on, driver or passenger side. I only have 35000 miles on it and they should last 75 to 100k, two have already been replaced last year. I hope they were the upstream! Why are they failing so early,
If someone at AutoZone told you there were two O2 Sensors on Bank 2, Sensor 2, They're an Idiot.
Sensor 1 is the one before the Cat. Sensor 2 is Downstream. 1 on each side. Maye you have a Wiring problem to throw both codes for the same sensor? Sensor itself could be bad.

If you try to use that O2 Socket with a slot cut on one side, You're going to be in trouble. I have had that design Slip. And get spread around the sensor. The one that looks like a Line Wrench works better.

So:
- B1S1 is before the cat the firewall side of the engine
- B1S2 is after the cat the firewall side of the engine
- B2S1 is before the cat the radiator side of the engine
- B2S2 is after the cat the radiator side of the engine
