Transmission oil change 2010 Tuscon

Set up an appointment online with my dealer to have the automatic transmission oil changed. Have 77,000 miles on the car, maintenance schedule says to replace at 60,000 miles. Price was $169. I called to see what was included, I was told the unit would be flushed and new oil added. I asked about the filter and was told the filter was a screen and would not be changed. When I get to the dealership I am informed that it was a solid state transmission and could not be flushed, the oil would be drained and replaced. When I asked how the oil in the torque converter was drained, I was told "very carefully". The price was now $269. because of the time required to drain and reinstall the special more expensive oil. I left without having the service done. Does anyone have any in site to what just happened, I mean, what is a solid state transmission and why can't it be flushed? How is it cooled? I didn't ask these questions at the dealership because I lost a lot of faith in the service department after the "very Carefully" comment.
