Tucson 2012 Limited Climate Control Module issue
I have a 2012 Tucson limited. When I drove the car to work the climate control was working fine. When I drove it at lunch time the climate control was not working. I have checked every fuse in the cabin and under the hood and they are all good. How do I know if the whole unit has to be replaced or if there is another issue? I do have remote start that is factory installed but never use it.

Which part? The Fan or the control panel?

I'm sorry. Some people get confused. And say the Climate Control isn't working, Then find out its the fan.
Is your still under Warranty? If someone had a good scan tool, Not the Generic code readers, They could check to see if there is any Body Codes in the computer. Which would help narrow down the diagnosis. |

Part of the problem is, You can only get the Repair Manual from Hyundai. Makes it hard when I do my own Maintenance.

I bought the extended warranty but it is not covered. I really love the car and have not had any issues so far. It does have 87,000 miles. I had a sonata limited that got 250,000 miles. What I have found is that when issues do arise it gets costly. The new part for the climate control is $570. I guess I will just have to pay to get it replaced. Thanks for the replies.

I am extremely surprised that the part is not covered under the extended warranty. Based upon the information provided I believe that you will need on of these two part numbers 97250-2S321-TAN (CONTROL ASSEMBLY - HEATER made by Hyundai. #972502S321TAN) or 97250-2S321-TAP (CONTROL ASSEMBLY - HEATER made by Hyundai. #972502S321TAP). If you send me your VIN number I can determine the exact part number you need. I would be happy to provide the part to you if you need a new item or you can use the part number to look over the internet for a used one. |
