Where is the IAT sensor?
It's not a real computer chip. It's nothing but a 10-cent resistor that changes the signal from the IAT to the computer to make the computer think the air is cooler than it really is. In turn, the computer richens up the fuel mixture. All that does is make your car run too rich and wastes fuel. It will also damage the cat but making the car run too rich.

I've seem some that are the cheapy resistor looking types - and some that at least appear to be somewhat more robust than that. Looks can be deceiving I know.
