changing cv axle issue
Hey all, I have an issue that I hope someone can help with. I was attempting to change a driver side cv axle on my bosses veloster when I hit a roadblock. When I got to removing the lower ball joint i couldn't get it removed. I watched a video on youtube and all the guy did was hit the arm with a hammer 3x and it came right out. I spent about a half hour banging on it with no results. Anyone have any wisdom to share?

If you have an assistant then get a bar to pull on the ball joint
Then hit it with a hammer
If that doesn't work then last resort is to use a pickle fork
That is because the pickle fork can damage the ball join boot (if not lucky)
Good luck
Note: When I replaced my CV joints, the hardest thing to do was take off the sway bar links.
The ball joint was easy enough with a 3 pound hammer.
