Is it possible for me to upgrade the Manual A/C unit to an Automatic A/C unit? Also, how would i go about finding and installing the parts to upgrade the vehicle as a whole?

If you have the time , $$$, and tools you might be able to accomplish the job.
I would strongly suggest that you read up on just how an automatic system works so you have some idea what sensors you need to install and how to connect them and where they need to go.
Unfortunately, these systems are not plug and play.
These automatic systems are great ,"When they work". When they don't, not too many shops know how to check and repair them, so might be a good idea to do some research before getting involved in a lengthy project. Wish I could be more encouraging, just hopefully trying to save you some grief.
