2007 Veracruz Limited FWD Issues
 

Hi,

2007 'Cruz limited with the entertainment system.
95K, 2nd owner since 25k, nice car that is showing a little age.

I appreciate anyone's insight & experience with the following issues we're having. All in all, we love this car and are sticking with it for the long haul - far cheaper than trading to another machine (all machines break!:rolleyes:)

- Check engine light comes on during summer months (any start above about 80'F outside). Mechanic says it's a catalytic code that isn't affecting performance but could potentially prevent an emissions 'pass'. Major $$$ to replace the entire catalytic system so we're waiting for a solid fix before touching it.

- Left-rear pax door lock doesn't lock or unlock electrically, either by FOB or switch. The code has been brainwashed & reset which fixed this for about a week. Again, we're living with it for now.

- FOB doesn't always disarm the alarm & open the hatch. I think this is a known issue but dealer doesn't have a sure fix...only "ideas."

- Radio display intermittently goes blank and/or displays garbled text. Is there a simple fix other than replacing the entire unit?

All of these have come up within the last year or so. Great.......:o
