ait sensor for 08 veracruz
does anyone know where the ait sensor is on an 08 veracruz?
thanks. |
What air sensor? Mass Air Flow? Air Temp sensor? Gotta be more specific.
|
i guess it is suppose to be iat (intake air temperature) sensor.

Sorry. When I saw "ait" I thought you mis-typed "air". You should capitalize "IAT" or type out "Intake Air Temp" to be more clear.
The IAT is part of the MAF (Mass Air Flow) sensor: http://www.hmaservice.com/data/Passe...G/egrf238a.gif Intake Air Temperature Sensor (IATS) is installed inside the Mass Air Flow Sensor (MAFS) and detects the intake air temperature. To calculate precise air quantity, correction of the air temperature is needed because air density varies according to the temperature. So the PCM uses not only MAFS signal but also IATS signal. This sensor has a Negative Temperature Coefficient (NTC) and its resistance is in inverse proportion to the temperature. |
How hard is this to replace? I found this site for Hyundai Parts - which part should I be looking for?

It shouldn't be too painful. The MAF sits right on top of the engine, in the duct between the air filter and the throttle body.
