Default Alarm going off

Hi
This morning for no reason the alarm went off. I had to use the key fob to unlock it then it turned off. About 2 hours later it went off again. This time the doors were unlocked. I hit the unlock button again and it turned off. This happened last year in the winter. It did it for a few days then just stopped on it's own. I have looked for the hood sensor on my 09 but I can not seem to see it like a regular switch. That is unless it is built into the hood latch. It likes to go off at 5am of course and wake up the house. Does anyone have any suggestions?

It doesn't have to be the sensor under the hood. It could be the control unit or even one of the door latch sensors.

What throws me is like I said last year it would go off randomly for a few days then stopped till early this morning. If it was control unit wouldn't it keep happening?

The control unit has printed circuits and they can be affected by temp if there is a crack or the slightest poor connection.

The fact that you can stop the alarm with the door controls would lead me to believe one of the door latch switches is the culprit.

Had my 2010 ix35 for 10 years and intermittently the alarm goes off for no apparent reason. Can happen in wind or no wind, on the flat or on a slope. Happened twice last night at 4 am and 7 am. Very annoying fir both me and the neighbours
