Blend doors (4), which activator does what when it comes to heating and cooloing?
 

Hello, i have 2007 hyundai veracruz ltd with inconsistent heating and cooling. works sometimes and other times not. fan motor not a problem.
how do i know what actuator to replace.
The controls work on manual as well as AUTO.
fuses are in good shape.

It is possible for an actuator to be getting tired.

Unless you have a shop manual, which most folks don't, sometimes it helps if you can see and follow the path the air takes from the blower motor on to the interior of the vehicle.
To do this , you may need to remove the glove compartment to see behind the dash. It is not difficult , but will take some time. You will see the duct work and even the actuators. The kicker is when you are able to look at everything , all works just fine. You have to watch what actuator directs the air where you want it to go. Now you have some idea of what is supposed to take place and when. This can be time consuming and that is why some places charge so much to find and repair this type problem..

thank you hanky. not sure i can do your suggestion. the car is in Fort collins, colorado. i am in Gypsum, colorado. a three hour drive.
i will purchase what actuator i need by what the climate control buttons tell me what works and what does not
.there is a mode control actuator, intake actuator, passenger temp. actuator, and driver temp actuator.
i will visit fort collins very soon and bring passenger and driver actuators with me
praying to exchange one or the other, return one i do not need and finish repair and go home satisfied
