how to make the car not beep when I open it with fob

I just bought a 2010 Veracruz. I got the auto-start thing installed, and I notice that when I unlock the car with the remote starter fob, it beeps. I don't mind it beeping when I lock it (I like to hear that it locked), but I unlock the car very early in the morning when I go to work and I don't want my car beeping for the neighbors every day at 5am... Any way to shut off the beeping upon remote unlock?

thanks in advance,

Mike Levin

The remote starting feature does not appear to be a factory option. There is no mention of it in the owners manual or the 2010 Veracruz brochure. Are you sure this wasn't a dealer installed 3rd party product? If so, then the dealer should have provided some documentation or you may have to go back to them for instructions.

Try the dealer, GDS, BCM. user options I think it is, select and de-select various various items.. have to see if it is in the menu or not.

with a veracruz and factory keyless there is a low level outside buzzer that beeps and you can turn that off with the GDS but it sounds like you have an aftermarket remote start and some are wired into the horn circuit. if so you will need to disconect this wire depending on the brand.
