MP3 from CD??

Hi, I was wondering if MP3 can be played from stock Infinity 6 disc changer? I assumed it would but when I insert the disc it says "read error" and ejects right back out. I've tested with normal music disc and it works fine. I've looked around net and found one thread with someone saying that he is able to (thread was old. pre-ipod hook up):confused:

I looked in manual and it mentions nothing about playing music other than basic controls.

Thanks in advance.

I believe all Veracruz head units play MP3 CD's. Did you finalize the CD? My guess is, the CD you burned is faulty.

hmmm. I didn't have to finalize the CD on the BMW (which I replaced with Genesis and loving it:D) But I guess it's worth a try. I've made 6 discs and none works so it's either that or it just doesn't like the taste of this CD brand. I will report back after finalizing the CD and if that doesn't work, test the CD by making a real music CD instead.

Thank you.

Don't create any folder, and try to burn your CD with Media Player, which puts all files in root folder.

That's not the problem. My 2006 Tucson and 2006 Kia Sedona have no problems playing CD-R discs with folders.
