Default 2001 Hyundai xg300 throttle body? Please Help!!

Have replaced input and output speed sensors but need to calibrate. Car will not shift out of 3rd gear (safe mode/limp mode). Hyundai dealer said I need a new throttle body. Is this common or not? I feel it may just be the throttle position sensor. Any thoughts please.

A 2001 Hyundai what? Accent, Elantra, Santa Fe, Tiburon? And what engine? Sorry but we can't read minds here.

EDIT: Nevermind, I found your other thread on the same subject. Merging threads and moving to the correct forum.

The XG has an electronic "wireless" throttle control. What is the exact error code of the problem you are having? It may not be the throttle body itself that is bad but the accelerator position sensor or the throttle control motor. Don't just start throwing parts at a problem.

Post newbie here.

I have a 2002 Hyundai XG350L. I recently took it to Autozone to have them hook up there computer code reader to it. After it had rain I noticed it was sputtering and wouldn't get up and go. This has happened 4 times in the past 2 weeks and when it was raining or after it rained. Like I said I took it to autozone for the free computer code reader hooked up. 2 codes came up P1191 &P1193. The guy said he didn't know what they were. I did some internet searching and came up with this. P1191 ETS Limp home valve on. P1193 ETS Limp home- low RPM. Problems with the throttle sensor. since Im a newbie I was hoping someone could explain to me what this means? what parts I would need? Is it going to cost alot since im scraping by with money after beeing laid-off. How much would the parts cost? would I be able to fix this problem with a friend of mine. 1more thing, where can I find a repair manual book, not CD or DVD. I want a book for my car. I google alot but couldn't find a book for a 2002 Hyundai XG350L. I found CD and DVD. thats not what I need in a friends garage. Any help on these codes and what to do and what to order and any websites suggestions would be appreciated to a disabled veteran. Thank you all..

I've got the same problem (intermittently) on the same car. I had suspected the fuel pump, but two shops now want to replace the throttle body. What was your outcome? There may not be books anymore in this digital age, but Staples and other copy stores can print a copy from your DVD, probably.
