Car was fine until yesterday started and backed up when the antilock brakes pulsates. Went forward pumped the brakes and was fine again. Today drove about 30 miles fine, parked no problems with car at all. 1 hour later Tried to start car cranks but no start. Has a new battery strong and new alternator about 1 year ago. Noticed no radio, no power windows, no power mirrors, no green light on park indicator. All worked an hour before parked. Power seats, a/c, heated seats, headlights all work. Electrical harness? Checked all fuses in car and under hood are good. Thought maybe anti theft system? Disconnected battery 40 minutes to try to reset, same thing. Any advice and help sincerely appreciated

 

Maybe a relay? Does the immobilizer light in the dash blink, or light up?

Usually the ignition switch is a little finicky before it fails altogether, relays not so much. Do you normally have a light like a key inside a picture of car that lights when the ignition is turned on before you crank? is that out as well?

 

That light is out as well. Only light in dash is red door ajar light, I think.

Hmm you have me on the right track. After work tomorrow I see if I have 12V at the fuse box. If not I’ll check for a fuseable link maybe burned out. Don’t know where the main power relay is, could be the one on the positive terminal? Thank you again

 

it could have one, the main fuses for ECM and IGN would be where I would check for problems, I think from the engine bay fuse box they looks like square from the diagram.
