2004 XG350L with P0401 code
 

Hello to this forum.
Looking for help with a 2004 XG350L that keeps returning with OBD code P0401. The vehicle has 80,000 miles on the clock. I have found this car to be the home of some small critters/rodents. After the first code showed and I removed the plastic engine cover I found small nests along with rodent droppings. Used shop vac and compressed air and all rodents are gone!

I have replaced all the related EGR vacuum hoses since they were all brittle and showed signs of bite marks. I have also replaced the EGR solenoid valve twice. (thiniking the solenoid was still sticking) Only to wait two days and the code P0401 reappears. Have pinched off the yellow BLEED line and the engine stumbles so I believe the EGR valve itself works. I have also checked power to the EGR solenoid connector and found power.

I am stumped.

Anyone out there have some idea where I should go next?
