2005 XG350 trouble codes
 

Codes are 2111 and 224. Check engine light comes on and car loses power. The Firestone dealers tech did an induction service and throttle body cleaning, reset light, and car ran good for a week. Light came on with same codes and problem. They now say it needs a new electronic throttle body which the dealer wants $1027 just for the part. When the check engine light is reset the car runs good for about a week before problem reoccurs. Anybody have any thoughts on this? Is the throttle position sensor part of the throttle body? The car only has 78K miles. Thanks in advance for your help.

Take it to an agent for the vehicle and let them give you a print out of the problems. Someone there should be able to assist with the codes.

Sounds right to me. The XG350 uses an electronic throttle, not a cable. The motor that controls the throttle probably went bad and yes, it's expensive.

where do i look to find connection for OBE readers?
 

tried to get any codes on my 2001 hyubdais XG300L. but could not find where to connect OBE reader?

It's under the dash near the steering column.
