When I allign the timing marks and try to put tensioner on timing belt 2 of the gears move. Do they have to be alligned exactly with marks.

Timing

Engine went out of time because crank sproket came off so I cannot mark old belt. I finnally got the marks on by useing little paper clips you squeeze to open. I thought I had all lines on the 5 sprockets lined up. Top dead center on crank and the white dots to the tabs which meant the blue marks on each sprocket lined up. When I put back together engine runs but when you let off gas pedal it stalls. Is there any adjust to move the timing, like with a distributor or something.
