Hi all!! I am writing this for a friend who has a 2000 Tiburon that needs an engine. I have been checking around and getting many different answers about what engines will work in that car. I think it is about 1999-2001 Tiburon and Elantra 2.0, but have heard other things also. There is a newer 2.0, but will it bolt in with little/no modifications. Of course, if it has to be a 2001 or older, it is going to be hard to find one that doesn't have way over 100k already. His head gasket is gone (about 130K) but he said he was using a quart of oil about every 600 miles for a while, so doesn't want to spend the money that he really can't afford anyway on a HG, only to have to overhaul or replace the engine a short time later. Any and all info and advice will be greatly appreciated! Thanks Larry
