Default 2007 Accent won’t start, no spark

changed the crappy battery, no help. Car has been sitting a while, maybe a year or two.

Of note, strangely, power windows will not work, and interior fan will not come on. Window fuses are good. It is as if some main power source has failed. Car cranks like you would expect, but I have no spark

not sure where to go with this. I guess it could be a crankshaft sensor or similar, but why would that affect power windows operation?

thanks

A lot depends on where the vehicle sat.
If rodent visitors moved in or had lunch with the wiring anything is possible.
Some have a power relay. Check to see if it is working.

Default THanks Hanky

it is rat and mouse country, but the wires are looking good.

The ‘power relay’, is that a particular relay, or a more generic description?

This seems like a relay problem, that sounds spot on. I will return to the vehicle and see what I can do and update

Hi I am not sure where to post but I need and want ideas and help from anyone who will listen. I have a 2008 Hyundai Accent Hatchback 4cylinder 1.6 engine Automatic transmission. It cranks like coughing but WONT START!!!!

I have replaced the battery, camshaft sensor, crankshaft sensor, fuel pump, 4 coils, 4 spark plugs and nothing still wont start.

I used 4 scan tools all gave me sub menu codes A/T $7EF $7E9. I searched and a lot of people have gotten the same codes but didnt know the meaning.

I am out of ideas......please help!!!

Did you go back to basics?

Check for spark
Check for injector pulse
If both missing then suspect crankshaft sensor
Need further test before replacing

Check for fuel prime when key is first turned to "ON" position
Check to see if exhaust clogged

If you have timing light then check for correct timing
If you suspect fuel pump then spray starter fluid into in take and try starting engine
Check all the fuses. Engine bay fuse box and in dash fuse box

Good luck
