2008 Santa Fe engine noise...
 

New member here. We have a Santa Fe Limited with 25k miles on it. Lately it is making a noise that reminds me of a sticking lifter. Noise also stops after running and warming up. We have had it in the shop 2 times and the last time was told that it may be a carbon build up issue. "Run it a while as we put a gas additive due to the ethanol in most gasolines." Problem is still there and getting worse. Anyone else have any experience with a similar issue?

What engine? If it's the 3.3L V6 then has the timing chain tensioner been replaced? Tell the dealer about TSB 08-EM-001-1.
