Default Elantra 2013 cylinder3

I have had the coil replaced on cylinder 3 twice in two years, which cost 400-500 each time. I’m concerned this isn’t something that goes away. I have never had a problem like this with any car. Seriously thinking EV for my next one. Is there a recall I missed?

Because I only know what you have told us so far, but maybe I can suggest some things you might consider.
First we need to get some addl info.

Where are you taking this vehicle to have the repairs done?
Are they using quality parts or what we call knock-offs , cheap junk?
Can you show us what you had done that costs so much?

Can understand your frustration, if you are considering another vehicle why not something where you get more for your $$$ ? An EV has problems too.
Some more expensive brands do have lower ownership expense , have you looked into that?
