I bought a new Hyundai i40 6 months ago and whilst I was driving along a straight road on a very warm day, I switched the air conditioning on. This is very cold. I heard a sharp cracking noise and a hairline crack about 18" long appeared down the instrument panel. When I returned to the dealer, they photographed it and said that it was a scratch. I explained that it was a crack. These details have been forwarded to Hyundai's head office in the U.K. but despite this car having a 5 year Warranty, they will not repair this crack. I am afraid that I am no longer a fan of Hyundai.
