Default New with Tiburon question

My son is considering buying a 2004 Tiburon GT. It has a 6 speed manual trans, 36000 miles and a lot of extras and add-ons, for around $10,000. My question is, is it worth it due to all the clutch problems these cars seem to be having?

Thanks for any thoughts or advice.

Most of the clutch complaints I've heard are from 2003 Tibs.

it actually sounds like a pretty good deal. I did a www.kbb.com Kelly blue book and it was about 15,000 depending on what your vehicle has on it. Sounds pretty good, considering its only 3 years old. Good luck.

I just bought an 03 as well. After a ton of research, the 03 was the only year with the clutch concerns.
Mine has a little over 60k.
Clutch replaced at 28k.
The reason for the faulty clutches was a major manufacturing error on behalf of hyundai.
His 2004 should be fine for quite a while.
