My daughter, a college student, needs a used car. We've owned a 2006 Sonata and now own a 2009 Sonata. I believe early on Hyundai had a terrible reputation for quality but that has all chenged for the better. Which model years should we stay away from?

 

Hyundai's don't really have too many horrible problems. All models have a few quirks, but so do Hondas and Toyotas. Maybe you could tell us what models you're looking at, and we can be more specific.

 

Hyundais after about 2001 are very good cars. If you are looking specifically for a Sonata, I'd stick with the 2006-up NF version.
