Default 2011 Sonata Turbo - Struts recommendation

Hey!
Looking for Strut replacement recommendations for 2011 Sonata 2.0T. I'd like to use a quick strut if possible and do the work myself, as the dealer quoted 1K for just the fronts.

I have had good experience with Monroe strut assemblies.

Pay attention to the production date of your car.

Just a reminder,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
After strut replacement a front end alignment is required to prevent questionable performance and tire wear problems.

Looking into a bit further, I believe I have the Sport Suspension - looking at the site, it indicates these won't work with sport suspensions..
thoughts?

They should work with a sport suspension but the ride will be softer.

Get the dealer prices for the individual parts that make up a strut: Strut (damper only), strut mount, dust boot, isolators (rubber rings for the springs), springs.
An independent garage can reassemble a strut for you at a much lower cost than the dealer is asking.

Also check with the major auto parts stores for Monroe, KYB, and maybe Gabriel brands.

Get the oem part numbers for the struts to cross reference the aftermarket equivalent. The sport suspension doesn't just have a different dampening rate it sits slightly lower due to a difference in spring height meaning piston stroke of the cartridge is different. You don't want to mix them up as it will cause it to be a stiff ride and potentially cause damage. 2011 models are even trickier for aftermarket front suspension parts because the whole thing was redesigned mid model year. Early production used a full front subframe and late production use the now common K frame found on all new hyundais. The struts for each are not interchangeable
