Default trip computer

Anybody had problem with XG350L trip computer reading 100 miles too much to empty? Dealer claims replacement of everything between the gas tank and computer, including instrument cluster computer. Still registers 100 miles to empty with the gas guage dead on empty.

Have you actually checked gas level in tank when gauge reads empty? It could be a float fault. When gauge reads empty, fill the tank and see how much it takes, then check to see how much tank should hold. This will tell you how much was left in the tank and show if it is a float problem. Best of luck Chris.

unfortunately these trip computers on all hyundai,s are a bit of a mickey mouse affair, they are never accurate and give a vague reading .always stick to what the gauge is reading. also the trip computer changes as per how you are driving, rough roads , up hill, down hills, the weather and so on.[sm=type.gif]
